Submissives: We are not all the same!
This is another prompt from Loving BDSM (the site STILL seems to be down, I will link as soon as I can): Does a submissive have certain behaviors? Specific tasks? What thoughts come to mind when you think of submissives and submission?
I have trouble with these questions, as I don't feel I can speak for ALL submissives. I can only speak for myself. Like snowflakes, none of us are the same. The dynamics we exist in are different and our submission is different. This entire post will be geared toward my own submission, which may or may not be drastically different from your own experiences.
Are there some traits/behaviors I believe are important for all submissives? Yes. Loyalty, flexibility (and I don't mean of the body), obedience, honesty. You know, the usual! But, isn't it kind of up to the Dominant to decide what type of behaviors and traits they are looking for? Throughout my journey, I have met Doms looking for everything and anything on the rainbow of desires.
Tasks are the same, varying drastically from submissive to submissive based on the desires of the Dominant. I send two photos to Wolf every day and write a handful of lines for Him too. Does every sub do this? I'm guessing not, because my dynamic is not their dynamic. There will never be one specific task I can attribute to every submissive.
The stereotype seems to be that we are weak and let people stomp all over us. I know that isn't true. I am submissive to Wolf, but I am not submissive to life. I don't see weakness in submission because it doesn't exist without strength.
When I think of submission, I think of the warm, fuzzy feeling it gives me to make my Wolf happy and how freeing it feels to fall into subspace. I think of how much I respect and trust Him. I think of the nights when all we've done is talked for hours and other nights when I've got a vibrator pressed against my clit while He tells me to cum for Him in that growly voice I love so much.
